FAST fashion label Oh Polly has been slammed by shoppers after promoting “unrealistic” body standards.
The British brand shared a video of a mannequin being dressed in its new £120 Aurora Embellished Bandeau Mini Dress.

Fixed on a metal pole, the mannequin looked comparable to an actual hourglass.
Oh Polly’s social media team dressed it in the new mini dress.
The caption read: “Birthday, vacation or special occasion?
“We’ve got you with the Aurora HOTFIX Mini in pear green.”
However, the promotional clip sparked a flurry of unimpressed and shocked comments.
“Who has a waist that small?” one critic questioned.
“It would be nice if the mannequin was realistic,” another added.
“Honey, if you think that’s what my waist looks like then you’re kidding yourself,” a third retaliated.
According to Oh Polly bosses, the mini dress has a “scene-stealing silhouette”.
A blurb reads that the dress is “underlaid with a double-layered mesh lining for enhanced coverage”.
It is also “crafted from figure-hugging power and 20D mesh to a bandeau silhouette and comes complete with detachable camisole straps for enhanced support”.
However, shoppers aren’t convinced it’s supposed “figure-hugging power” will replicate a body shape anywhere near the mannequin.

“What the f**k is this mannequin?” one critic asked.
“That is an impossible bum to waist ratio,” another slammed.
Oh Polly came under fire in 2019 for making a separate Instagram account for its plus-sized models, which shoppers described as “segregation”.
The company initially defended the decision, tweeting that the account was created to “celebrate a wider range of people in our community”.
However, bosses soon backtracked and apologised for “a serious error of judgement” after deleting the account.
